Frost.
I made our sons stand shivering in the driveway before school one morning while I tried to take photos of the frost on the car windows. I tried shooting through 2 different windows, from the inside and from the outside trying to get the right light and background. This is my favoriite (with a little help from Photoshop Elements to increase the contrast and sharpen).

/ March 5, 2013That is awesome, and definitely something I would do to my kids. They get so annoyed with my picture taking. And then it ends up crap. At least yours end up fabulous!

/ March 5, 2013Thanks! I took about 20 shots that were crap to get one or two good ones. Boy I love digital cameras. And I figure the kids will survive, right? And maybe one day they’ll remember when they’re all grown up to push aside the mundane once in a while and really notice things.

/ March 5, 2013I love digital cameras too. I used to take a roll of film and get two good shots. Now I can just hit delete. It feels good! And yes, I think our kids will truly appreciate things when they get older, but they’ll never admit it to us.

/ March 9, 2013I try not to leave a link to one of my own posts in a comment, but you must check out my photo of frost. I love how they are so different because of the conditions in which they grew.
Love your photo!
